Orangutans at a Dutch Zoo are to be shown a live webcam of potential mates in Indonesia, it has been reported.

Apparently those in the Indonesian centre ‘are short of entertainment’, and so this apparently will help both sets of Orangutans in keeping them busy, entertained and also to find potential mates.

Quite how they will point out the ones they like to their keeper has not been revealed in great detail, although we suspect tough screens will be required.

And then, quite how they work out what to do if they do like each other could be interesting to see. I wonder how ‘ook’ will come out over IM?
