V Festival ‘Greedy’, Say Fans

Tuesday, August 22nd, 2006 at 14:02 by Adam Williams

Complaints are now filtering through that the V Festival is greedy, after fans bleated that £10 for a programme - or £7 for a burger - was “too much”.

Yes, it is a lot - but this is a commercial “festival”, and they have all been ripping the fans off for years. What did they expect? At a festival like this, they are treated like something akin to cattle - only they probably have better food.

And surely, when you are coughing up an eye-watering £120 for just two days of bands, you know it’s going to be an expensive weekend…right?

To put it another way - if you are willing to pay that to see bands of the “quality” of Kasabian, Kula Shaker and Sandi Thom…you deserve everything you get.
